The overall aim of The Lydia Trust is to provide a support system,
both practical and prayerful, for clergy, accredited church workers
and their spouses throughout the Truro diocese.

With declining numbers of paid clergy,
and increasing levels of clergy stress,
we hope that the implementation
of some preventative measures may be helpful.
Some of these include recommendations by
the Society of Mary and Martha (Sheldon)
in their report Affirmation and Accountability.

Though lay-run, the Trust works in partnership with the diocese,
whilst remaining independent of it.

We are a charitable organisation
and will register with the Charity Commission
as soon as our funds reach the £1,000 required for doing so.
